The short version. BASED OPS is a free browser skill game. There is no purchase, no entry fee, no deposit, and no wager of any kind. Prizes are awarded for skill in head-to-head matches as a free promotion. This is not gambling. You must be 18+ and playing from a permitted location. $BASED is a crypto token with no guaranteed value. Play for fun; never risk what you can't afford to lose.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BASED OPS (the "Game"), operated by DevBased / Volia Ventures ("we", "us"). By creating an account, signing in, or playing, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Game.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if higher).
You must not be located in, or a resident of, any country or jurisdiction where participation in the Game or receipt of token prizes is prohibited or restricted by law. It is your responsibility to know your local laws. The Game is void where prohibited.
You are responsible for compliance with all laws that apply to you, including tax laws.
2. The Game is free and skill-based — not gambling
BASED OPS is free to play. There is no entry fee, no purchase requirement, no deposit, and no wager or stake of anything of value to play or to be eligible for a prize.
Match outcomes are determined by player skill (aim, movement, tactics) in server-adjudicated matches, not by chance.
Prizes are a free promotional reward for winning a skill-based match. Because there is no consideration (no payment or wager) and outcomes are skill-based, the Game is intended to operate as a free skill contest and not as gambling, a lottery, or a game of chance.
We do not offer, and you cannot place, any bet or wager through the Game. In-game "$B" play-money used for cosmetic items has no cash value and cannot be purchased or withdrawn.
3. Prizes
Prizes are paid in $BASED, a digital token on the Solana network, sent to your connected wallet on-chain.
Prize amounts, rules, and availability may be changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time without notice. A prize is only owed once it is confirmed on-chain.
All prizes are subject to verification. We may withhold, delay, reverse, or deny any prize we reasonably believe resulted from cheating, exploitation, collusion, multiple accounts, automation, or any breach of these Terms, or that we are required to withhold by law.
You are solely responsible for any taxes arising from prizes you receive. We may be required to collect information or report prizes as required by law.
Prizes have no guaranteed monetary value and are provided "as is". $BASED is not redeemable by us for cash.
4. Your wallet is non-custodial
Wallets are created and secured through a third-party provider (Privy). Your wallet is non-custodial — you control it. We never hold, control, or have access to your private keys or funds.
You are solely responsible for securing your account, private key, and recovery method. If you export your private key, never share it with anyone — anyone who has it controls your funds. We will never ask for it.
Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Lost keys, sending to a wrong address, or compromised devices can result in permanent, unrecoverable loss. We are not responsible for such losses.
5. Fair play
You agree not to cheat, use aimbots/wallhacks or any unauthorized software, exploit bugs, manipulate matches, collude, create multiple accounts, use bots or automation, or interfere with the Game or its servers.
Violations may result in forfeiture of prizes, removal from leaderboards, and a permanent ban, at our sole discretion.
6. About $BASED
$BASED is a utility/community token used within the BASED ecosystem. It is not an investment, security, or financial instrument, and is not offered with any expectation of profit.
Crypto tokens are volatile and may lose all value. Nothing in the Game is financial, investment, legal, or tax advice.
7. No warranty; limitation of liability
The Game is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that prizes or the token will hold any value.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of funds, tokens, data, or profits, arising from your use of the Game. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed USD $100.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your use of the Game or breach of these Terms.
8. Privacy
To create an account you sign in with email, X, or Google via Privy. We use this only to create and secure your wallet and account. We do not sell your personal data.
Wallet addresses and on-chain transactions (including prize payouts) are public on the Solana blockchain by nature.
9. Changes; termination
We may modify these Terms or the Game at any time. Continued play after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
We may suspend or terminate access to the Game, or any account, at any time for any reason, including suspected abuse.
10. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
Any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, not in court, and not as a class action, to the extent permitted by law.
